Cells of a Cantelope Fruit

Postby Don Schaeffer » Sat Mar 22, 2025 1:16 pm

There is not too much excitement here. The cantaloupe fruit is constructed of large fluid-filled cells. I did find some specialization that surprise me a little. There is more than one-kind of cell in a cantaloupe fruit. There is also some interesting variation in the structure of these cells. The transparency of the melon tissue actually makes the cells harder to study under the microscope.
