A Rich and Varied Biome.

When I lifted this water surface a small section of green biofilm came up with it. The content of the sample is very rich in small protists and smaller organisms or bacteria. The biofilm was a remnant of the grassy vegetation on the surface of the water sample (originally a puddle on the concrete).
