Bacteria from the Red River of the North

Postby Don Schaeffer » Sat Jul 27, 2024 9:06 am

This particular mudpuddle culture yielded very few protists but a large population of bacteria. The bacteria are hard to see with my equipment. They are very small. These pictures were taken at my highest magnifications (top about 1,000 X). But if you look closely you will see the rod bacteria wriggling around The cone type bacteria may be harder to recognize.
