Dirt Thrown into Water

I did it: a kind of dream experiment. just went to the back yard and collected some dirt from the lawn and threw it into a har then added tp water. After a two hour time period I looked at the result under the microscope. There is a lot to see of course, even what looks like a dead larger microbe. But for me the most interesting sights were very tiny organisms, tiny circles usually, that are so small that under 1,000X magnification they are barely visible. But they are unmistakable--darting through the water in a clearly animated way. I am looking forward to seeing what happens when this biome ages for a few days.
