Thick Biome Cover

A thick elastic vegetable-like cover has grown over the surface of the water in the biome. Under the microscope the content of the cover is clear. Masses of very small protists are energetically moving through the hollows in the vegetable cover. The plant leaf has been converted into a hollow to contain masses of small fast-moving organisms.
