A Bacteria Colony on an Orange Peel

Postby Don Schaeffer » Sat Oct 05, 2024 11:33 am

This is a little complicated. I was working with a bit of shellfish skin and finding nothing. So I threw a piece of orange peel into that water sample (not really knowing why). After a few days, when I looked at the water around the orange peel, I found a colony of bacteria. These were not motile but were reproducing rapidly.
