An Exclusively Bacteria Culture

For months I have been generating microbe cultures. In one case, I put stagnant water in a plastic bottle (a mouthwash bottle) which appeared to be thoroughly washed out. I put grass in the bottle in hope of starting a protozoan culture. After a few weeks, I was surprised to find only bacteria in the culture. Protozoans never appeared but bacteria have multiplied very fast.
