Growth of Bacteria Around a Piece of Tangerine Skin

Postby Don Schaeffer » Sat Sep 14, 2024 11:37 am

I dropped a piece of tangerine skin into one of my mudpuddles. After just a few days the culture was full of lively bacteria. These organisms were barely visible under highest magnification but their motion was clear. The bacteria community was limited to the vicinity just around the skin itself. They did not spread into neighboring water.
