Something Happening in the Dead Pool

I looked at one of the older jars of water, containing a sample of organic matter that has sunk leaving almost clear water above it. Examination of this apparently clear water under high magnification reveals that the water is a biome inhabited by very small nearly invisible circular organisms. Even though these are very small, they are quite active.
