Renewing a Biome

Postby Don Schaeffer » Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:46 am

Yesterday I was bemoaning the death of my microbe culture. All of the active organisms had been replaced by small stationary figures. These are no doubt some kind of organisms that remain when the active organisms vanish. When my son heard me complaining he gave my specimen jar a good shake. Now, a half day later there are fresh developments. Very active smaller organisms and a large group of larger protists (albeit not moving much). It has become a whole new business.
