Deep Dense Biofilm

Sometimes it comes out like this. With the right combinations of vegetable matter, the bacteria in the culture generate a really dense biofilm that traps protists. In this case small protists are trapped in the elastic gelatin-like biofilm. They are literally trapped in their food. It may take time before they can eat themselves out.
