It's only been a week. The organisms in the water have converted the leaves into a gelatin. Medium-sized protists are moving through the gelatin. The gelatin also contains numerous suspended circular forms which I never saw before. It has taken the biofilm less than two weeks to convert the leaves into a biofilm.
