On the window-sill upstairs is a hanging plant with lovely red flowers. These flowers tend to fall from the plant, landing on the floor where they are easy prey to be scooped up for microscopic examination. The petals are very thick so it's not easy to get clear views of individual cell layers, but you can if you try. The flowers generate a blanket of tiny pollen grains.
