The Full Mudpuddle Story

I admit I was getting frustrated with the narrowness of the range of ciliates in the mudpuddle. The standard in microscopy is to collect images of large ciliates with interesting internal features. Well this mudpuddle increasingly frustrated that. But I realized that I was ignoring the vast array of very small life forms that I could see with some adjustments of the light and depth of field. These bacterial forms, algae forms, and small flagellates are a whole different story.
