Optically Active Fibers of the Orange Peel Interior

Postby Don Schaeffer » Tue Dec 03, 2024 6:48 am

I tried to take high magnification images of the inside of an orange peel. This was not as easy as it sounds because that orange peel is itself optically active and refracts light like a lens. The images of the cells compete with distortion caused by the optical action of the cell tissue. I did get some clear pictures of one stray fiber.
