What are These? Motionless But Multiplying

This sample was drawn from the Red River in Manitoba. It is full of bacterial growth but few if any protozoans that I could see. These organic objects; have been multiplying in the biome but appear not to have any motion. They are much larger than bacteria in a water culture loaded with bacteria.
