The Real Social Life of Primative Creatures

The interactions among one-celled organisms is just as active if not more so than that of mammals or advanced creatures. We don't know anything about their real relationships except that their interactions are continuous and seem very intense. They are continuously rubbing against each other (or is that just crowding?). They are herd creatures beyond mammals. Is that just simplicity or what?
