I've been watching this culture for some time. Originally I dropped some leaves into sink water I was holding in a plastic container. I expected the usual protozoans to appear. But protozoans never did. The culture was monopolized by bacteria (and some unknown and very small others). It's been several weeks now and the water has become increasingly cloudy with organic matter.
