This lake water sample was drawn from Lake Winnipeg, a great lake-sized body of water in Manitoba. The microscope reveals many objects that look like protozoan-type cells but do not move. The cellular-type objects are very numerous in the water and appear to have been growing in my water sample for the last month or two. There are actually several types. There is a biofilm-like consistency in the water as well.
