Last among my explorations is a water sample from Lake Winnipeg (a very large freshwater lake). When I started studying the water, there was very little to see. I guess everything was distributed over a large volume. I took a sample from this sample and added some vegetation to bring about some development. After two weeks I examined the results. The visible biological content was essentially stationary, although some moving bacteria could be seen. Interesting stationary biological structures were visible.
