The salt water mud puddle has evolved into something novel. There appears to be no algae in it, instead the small floating islands seem to be fungus islands. Their long fungus tendrils are all over the surface of the water. A group of small ciliates seems to have survived in this environment, along with webs of growths that may be bacteria constructions and very small, almost invisibly small moving organisms.
