The salt water aquarium that was originally my granddaughter's salt water fish tank retains a rich variety of life, albeit nothing really comes from the ocean. These organisms survived from leaves and vegetable matter I picked up on the lawn in my neighborhood. Bacteria, flagellates, diatoms, algae, and protists can be seen. Some of the bacteria are really at the visual limits of the microscope.
