always believed that these strange pimples that appear on certain plants were caused by an insect larva, a worm perhaps, that lives inside them. When I found a weed whose leaf was so infected I wanted to make my journey through them. I was disappointed to find no larvae living in the leaf--the pustules happen to be caused a much less interesting fungus. The distortion of cell shape remains very scenic, however.
