For weeks I thought the life in the little salt water aquarium biome I made from my granddaughter's gift was dead. I decided to shuffle up some of the pebbles on the bottom. I took a bit of algae on my slide and gave it the high-contrast treatment. The sample was teaming with life. Strange and very small with restricted but patterned movement. It is a dreamy--maybe nightmare-like world.
