My son's tree grows slim, visible through the blinds, has been my lighthouse as I emerge with my doubts from the dark night sea, flags life like the air, glowed today as I opened my eyes amid worn, settled things in the eerie first light of a tardy dawn. this is my favorite image although i liked all of them: "It grows thin and tall in line with the thin vertical opening in our bedroom blinds."
:-) <---- cool signature ain't it?

Don, Some lovely language and images in this one. Some crits in-line My son's tree grows slim, visible through the blinds,;
has been my lighthouse as I emerge with my doubts from the dark night sea,. flags life like the air, <--not sure I understand this line--is it the tree that flags life? glowed today <--also the tree? as I opened my eyes amid worn, settled things <--love this line, Don in the eerie first light of a tardy dawn. <--makes me wonder why 'tardy'. Perhaps I don't need to know--it does bring me back to the relationship b/w the father and son. This is lovely. best, ljc http://ljcbluemuse.blogspot.com/
