TURNING A SOLID TO LIQUID

Over the course of a week a solid vegetation structure has been reduced to a liquid. This encouraged a fast increase in the reproduction of several species of protozoans. They look like a particular variety of protists in most cases. I don't see ameba or types that feed on protists.
