This is more complicated than I thought. A plant on the lawn was injured with the result that part of the leaf structure was deformed. I could see the deformity with the naked eye, but when I looked at it under magnification the injury point was not that sharp. There were gradations in the form of of the injury, although the extremes were obvious. Here are pictures at various points along the injury in some damaged oily leaves.
