LINING OF A CHICKEN EGGSHELL

I couldn't resist--this is a subject I have been curious about for a while. I stole a broken eggshell from a breakfast egg out of the trashcan (sorry). I was intrigued by the matted fiber structure of the shell. Maybe nature never learned to neatly weave. There are some mysterious structures that look like some kind of cellular remnants entangled in the structure as well.
