A leaf that fell from a rubber plant exhibits a unique look. The leaves are fat with gelatin-like fluid. These leaves act like tiny lenses that bend the light, giving them a special dynamism. You can see the light bend and distort as you focus the microscope. However, eventually, the fat cell shapes become visible.
