Massing and Dancing

Postby Don Schaeffer » Wed Dec 27, 2023 9:48 am

Protists can be said to have a social life. As I view them I am more and more inclined to call their behavior truly social. They engage in dancing behavior and what I call glomming, where they press together. Most of these pictures show masses of protists in the mudpuddle culture. To the naked eye the water looks milky with the bodies of these organisms.
