Mature Resting Biome

Postby Don Schaeffer » Sat Dec 16, 2023 10:18 am

The mudpuddle seems to be relaxed and settled in its ways. There are microbes of various sizes and species. There a few species more or less stationary. I tend to focus on them because they are easiest to capture while many of the more active (often more spectacular) species are speeding around the mudpuddle. This mudpuddle has gone through a few transitions. There is a lot of natural selection at work. The organisms are gradually consuming sections of vegetation in the water.
