There are a lot potted plants in my home. Accidents happen to potted plants. I tried to document the fate of a branch of one such plant broken from its stem. It's hard for me to be systematic because my mind is not so orderly. But these are some observations. Part of the leaf system remains intact and parts (perhaps parts at a functional distance from the stem) show considerable dysfunction even a few days from the break.
