Biofilm Becomes Syrupy

The concentration of those medium-sized ameoba has intensified. There are also long threads of bacteria. The liquid has become syruppy so that I ca lift packets of biofilm right out of the surface of the water. The optical properties of the biofilm makes some things hard to see. I have to adjust the illumination carefully.
