Younger vs Older Cut Rubber plant Leaves

Postby Don Schaeffer » Tue Nov 07, 2023 10:35 am

I took a leaf from a small still-in-soil rubber tree leaf and one that had been severed from the plant some time ago (a day or two ago). It appeared that I could identify the effects of the severing. The cells on the bottom of the severed leaves were compacted, smaller, more concentrated. The tops of plants did not show as much effect of drying.
