Along with bacteria, the mudpuddle is filled with microscopic things that have the form of protists but show no motion. I have not seen protists that moved about for some time, but each time I look, I see these protist-like forms that don't move, and every time I look the distribution of these figures changes. I am trying to increase the amount of air that reaches the biome. We will see if that has any effect on motility.
