Failing Structure of an Autumn Leaf

Watching leaves change color in the fall is a widely enjoyed persuit in the fall. The leaves change color and begin to lose structural integrity. Areas of the leaf become disorderly and cells lose their regular arrangement. The plant gives up its supervisory role.

What is a tumor? What is cancer? Do plants get cancer? I've seen a lot of plants with growth disorders were the organized structure of the cells is disrupted apparently by a disease. Could that be a plant version of cancer?
