First View of a Biome

The day before yesterday, my friends and I moved to a new residence in a different part of town. I started a new microbe culture to go with the move. I threw some leaves and grass in a jar and added tap water. These observations through the microscope are what I saw as first development of a biome in this culture. It is a little sparse at this stage. There were some very small protists visible and some larger organic forms which were motionless.
