The cell structure in the celery plant stem is exactly what one would expect. The celery stalk is like a vegetable pipeline whose purpose is to support leaves and to pump fluids from the root to the leaves. Of course living structures don't work like man-made structures. Pipes look a little like pipes but they are not just hollow. They have mystery in their mechanics.
