Fragments of the Root of a Weed

I intended to make some micrographs of a typical lawn plant. However, I found the preparation very tough because the tiny piece of root below the stem was extremely tough. Doggedly, I began scraping fragments from the tough root material. I found some interesting cellular material in the root fragments.
