I took a casual look at my evolving monster mud puddle today. Biofilm had spread in a thick, foamy wave over the entire surface. Masses of bacteria made the medium look like it was crawling with movement. Tiny flagellates did their shaky dances .A tiny arthropod also found itself trapped in the goo.
