Edges of Weeds

I picked out two weeds from the garden, took a leaf from each, and cut a thin slide including the leaf stem. These are pictures of the side view profile of the leaves showing the cells and structures under medium magnification.
It is interesting that sometimes those liquid-filled cells act as lenses and cause artistic halos in the lenses of microscopes.
