Every once in a while, I take a look at the poor stepchild, the mini aquarium that came from my granddaughter's salt water aquarium. I had recently added a lump of algae pulled out of her aquarium filter so I thought new things might be happening. The life forms in this biome have changes a lot over the months. Now ciliates are small. There are some interesting flagellates swimming about poking their proboscis-looking extension looking for food or other things of interest perhaps.
