Dear Poetry Aficionados, Poetry & Poets in Rags blog It's election night, and as I write, McCain has Kentucky's 8 electoral votes, and Obama has Vermont's 3. We have our Back Page bringing a Langston Hughes poem for the occasion, and Robert Pinsky bringing us a Walt Whitman poem for the ocassion in Great Regulars. But for a couple weeks, the growing poetry news has had to do with the letters between Robert Lowell and Elizabeth Bishop. This is what we lead with. Like last week, another very interesting week, some very good writing on various subjects. And as usual, some very good poetry.
