Dear Poetry Aficionados, Poetry & Poets in Rags Wales has a new National Poet. This is where we begin in a huge week for poetry news, part of the reason I am so delayed and keeping it short. Please be sure to check out the Poetic Obituaries, where much of the news in poetry is the week. We have two new Great Regulars to add, and I feel I should apologize for missing them for so long: The Dalai Lama and poet Tenzin Gyatso, who periodically issues important news releases from his web site, this week giving his views on, among other things, the Beijing Olympics; and Carol Rumens who has been bringing us the poem of the week from theblogbooks, a must read for us poetry aficionados as well.
