do individual threads get kicked up to the top of forums when all you do is edit to include a revised version of your poem? In my experience with my own poems this doesn't happen. They stay exactly where they are (usually somewhere near the bottom) |

Good question, bel. Different forums here work in different ways. In CV, for example, the threads stay chronologically organized by original posting date, so any new comment would not force that thread to the top. In BFB, however, any new message added to the thread, pops that thread to the top. But, simply editing the message will not do that. If you want an edited poem to pop to the top in a forum so designed, you also have to add a little message to the thread letting folks know you posted a revision. best regards, ljc Once in a Blue Muse Blog LJCohen

On the other hand, if you use the command -- \flush(..) -- all threads on the entire forum disappear. And with -- \alzheim(..) -- threads and posts are deleted randomly. Fred |

Thanks Lisa. Fred, maybe my comment should be "Fred made me do it" as I zoom right by everyone else? |

And if you use the command -- \disintegratefreddie{..} it doesn't do a damn thing! The man's indestructible. If you also include a small note in your thread, bel, the thread will show up on the "Last Day" and "Last Week" search views. A lot of people use those to see what's new and what's been added to. Unfortunately, as Lisa noted, just editing the original post won't signal any changes. |
