hi

i've found the program that recalculates the no. of posts and member status, so all should be restored. it was tucked away in the admin menus so didn't see it at first. anyhow, it recalculates for all members in about 30 seconds so that shouldn't be a problem going forward.

Hi Steve- What should we do if all our profile info is lost? Mine is down to the nub should I fill it out again?

Dear Lazarus -- Yes, you need to fill in the blanks. Unfortunately, we lost information in the profiles irretrievably. However, now that we have taken extra security measures, losing profile information should not happen again. Can't say at this point that it definitely won't, but the risks are less severe.

Sorry for this inconvenience. You may want to save all the information in a file somewhere on your computer just in case it happens again. Then, in the unlikely event it should happen, re-entering all the information in your profile won't be quite so time-consuming.

Love,
M

I lost about 150 posts on my count. I can't remember where I was at exactly, but it was over 550. Not that it's a huge deal, but, still. I would like to one day have super poster status, and that is holding me back. ;)

I certainly will not send email about it. ;) Thanks again for all the work to fix things up.

Edit: The most recent post I could find is in Bio, a comment on the Palmetto Bug Migration poem, that lists me at 558. :-)

I've lost about 130 or so posts as I'm down to 70 I think. But post number isn't a necessity. I updated my profile and hope it stays!

Thanks you guys for all your work.

Hi all

it looks like the post nos. are calculated from the logs that track access from the server. i'm not sure that the number of posts you each had from when we were at the prior company who hosted wild are transferring properly. Also, some of you came back after a long hiatus and we just assigned you a no. of posts based on a guess. so as is most things, an inexact science.

To whomever, I lost well over 3,000 posts. I was at 3550 or thereabouts. To be at 350 or wherever I am now is quite a shock. Also I had to disable cookies in able to post at all. (I had lost all my profile info.) It's a long story. I replaced everything including the cookies option and couldn't post so I went back to my profile and got rid of the cookies option and voila I could post again. Cwazy cwompewter, lol.
Please make me a senior member again.
Thanks, Kathryn

Not to be annoying but M gave me the 4,200 posts when she was first asking members to fill up their tanks. If that is not the correct amount and you can use the calculator to put me where I should be, I would be much obliged.
