Dearest Membership – This announcement is being made to make you aware of some staffing changes upcoming here at Wild Poetry Forum. First on the docket is our dearest Emusing. She will be taking a hiatus from her role as a moderator for Wild. In other words, she will be taking time off the WPF merry-go-round for an unspecified time period. Given her new job and the success of her publishing venture, “A Chaos of Angels,” she feels she has precious little time to devote to critiquing and attending to her moderator duties. And Emusing is much too dedicated to be pleased with functioning in a moderator role at any less than full capacity. Instead of continuing to try to do it all, she wishes to devote herself fully to her increased obligations and to tending her own writing garden. Emusing has been a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the staff here and we have so appreciated having her sharp mind, generous heart, and gracious spirit to assist us. We will most definitely feel the loss of her as a moderator, but she has assured us she will continue to post and comment as a regular member as her schedule permits. And that she might reconsider her moderator role should her other obligations reduce in the future. We totally understand and support her decision, though we must admit we will miss her tremendously. We hope you will join us in wishing her nothing but the best and much future success in anything she attempts. Our Emusing is a bright star – we will be eager to continue to read her talented work and to hear updates on any new developments in her life. Please remember to support her by purchasing the anthology she produced, “A Chaos of Angels,” which you can find listed in the WPF BookShop. Much good luck to you, sweet E, as you embark on all the new journeys that await you. Know that you will always have us to embrace you and assist you in meeting any challenges you encounter along the way. Thank you most sincerely for everything you have been and done for Wild. We have been fortunate to have you and you will always be family here. The second order of business is to announce our new moderator. Please welcome Kathy Paupore to our staff here at Wild. Kathy has been a regular and treasured member of Wild since December of 2003. She has graciously accepted our offer to join the mod staff and will be assuming Emusing’s responsibilities in overseeing the SUBLUXATION forum. Kathy lives in Iron Mountain, Michigan with her husband, three children, and various pets. She is a Registered Nurse. Her poetry has been published in Sol Magazine, Amaze, Fireweed, and Loch Raven Review. In addition, her work can be found at Wild Flowers, her blog. Her hobby is poetry – and as she wrote to me, “What else is there?” I would have to agree, Kathy. Beyond poetry, I’m not sure there are any other worthwhile pursuits. *smile* Please give Kathy a Wild welcome in her new role as moderator. We are certain she is going to make an excellent staff member and we will all benefit from her intellect, writing talent, and kind heart. Thank you so much, Kathy, for joining us in this capacity. This changing of the guard will be official on December 1, 2006. After that date, Kathy’s Wild-related mailbox (Kathy@wildpoetryforum.com) will be operational if you need to write to her personally with problems or requests for assistance. Of course, she will also be receiving all mail (as everyone on staff does) addressed to moderators@wildpoetryforum.com which you may use if you need to speak to us as a group. Thanks for your attention, folks. If anyone has any questions regarding these staffing changes, please don’t hesitate to write me at adminwpf@wildpoetryforum.com. Love, M (Administrator) |

E -- Thank you for your service to Wild! Fred * * * * * As for Kathy . . . Good choice! Except that now, we need a definitive answer to this question: How does one pronounce "Poupore"? Fred * * * * * Lisa, When I read your remark to E, above, I initially read it as -- "All the better to mod with you, my dear." I need to rewire my brain. Fred |

Thanks all, I am still stunned by this moderator thingie, wasn't expecting it at all! It blew my socks off, they're still smoking. I too, will miss E's kind contributions around here, but am glad she will still be sharing her work with us. And as Lisa said, she can always come back. Fred, that would be PAupore. Pronounced as many different ways as it is spelled. It's French if that helps, LOL. Paup, Hoop, Paupore. That's how it goes. No bathroom jokes now please? Good luck in all your endeavors E, and thanks so much for your help and encouragement here at Wild. Please know that you made a huge difference to many writers in helping them learn this craft and find their voice. You also taught us how to critique with love by your example. I'll always think of you as one of my most important mentors. Kathy- Congratulations! Wild has made a great choice in you for moderator of Sublux. It's clear you are dedicated to this art and you'll be there for us when we need you. I look forward to seeing you around more in our beginners forum. Dearest Wild Family, Thank you all for your good wishes and understanding. I am moved by your words and unflagging support. It was a very tough decision since I am loyal as hell and didn't want to leave our wonderful M in the lurch. This forum is vital. Not just because it is a haven for our deepest thoughts, a place to pause and connect with the words and lives of others but for me, it has been a chance for honest growth. I have learned much as a poet and as a moderator. In fact, the lessons learned in helping others has boosted my own powers of observation far beyond my tentative beginnings. It has been a privilege to work with M and Lisa. The amount of love that goes on behind the scenes cannot be fully known. Let me tell you that the care and continual creation of this site, including the technical wizardry of Steve to keep things afloat is not just a labor of love, I could even say that is a mission. What Wild offers to the novice and the pro is more than helpful advice--it is a space to learn and to grow—a foundation for excellence in self expression, a place to be encouraged at every corner and to take leaps--those calculated risks that move us beyond our comfort zone. So please permit me dear Wilders to do just that. I will be here to post my works and to offer feedback to those that want it. In that respect nothing has changed. Congrats Kathy on your position as moderator. I think you are perfect fit for Wild. I know you will do a beautiful job because you are that kind of person—gentle, knowledgeable, and extremely aesthetic. I cannot think of a better choice. Thank you dearest M for understanding. Your love and support on a personal and professional level is what makes this place what it is. You are the root of this vineyard from which all fruits are possible. Love, E Word Walker Press

Dear E, Thank you for all you have done to encourage and instruct us in the art of poetry. I can't tell you how much your help meant to me personally and I will be forever grateful for it. Rarely do the talents of teacher and artist intertwine so powerfully. That seems to be rule rather the exception here at Wild. I'm glad you'll still be around whenever you can. You'll fly wherever you are. And Dear Kathy, thank you for taking us under your wing. We're lucky to have you. Penelope

Dearest KS E, Whatever path our soul leads us to, it will always hold a semblance of home. And home will always be WIld. I only realized that I have been away far too long when I saw the list of your accomplishments. You have really gone a long way. Thank you for sharing your spirit with us, with me. Maybe one day, I can catch up with you on your journey. |

Dear KS M, I listen for your poetry in the same way that I miss the sound of distant trains, or bells I left behind. Your poems are ripening this very second. When you are ready, we will always be around to read them. KS E Word Walker Press
