The better question might be why should we. Wild and the other houses I post in satisfy my needs, so I see no reason to comment on PFFA other than to say it has a rep for the toughest of tough love, not everyone's cuppa tea. Smiles. On the internet there are many people who have ill tempers, great anger, an urge to dominate, or are just plain sadistic. Statistically, some of these awful people are poets. Years ago, the Gore-gons (who invented the internet) decided that an arena was needed for nasty versifiers to fight in. Various sites were tried. One -- the Gabby Zoo -- almost made it as the Haven of the Horrible, but was eliminated in the final round. PFFA took the honors. If you're feeling too good about yourself -- like maybe all the critiques you're received and books you've read are finally shaping your creative output -- go to the PFFA. You'll be burning your notebooks before the dawn. Fred (Message edited by sandiegopoet on July 30, 2006) |
