Dear Poetry Fans,

Poetry & Poets in Rags

There is a call for submissions, the Daily Mirror Poetry Competition, from Mirror.co.uk. You'll find it in our Great Regulars section. It's great when this happens. It's part of why I started P&P in Rags in the first place going on three years ago, to foster poetry in the newspapers. And that's why I thank every reporter or editor I can e-mail for doing the articles you click to each week, to let them know it is important, and they are being read.

Last week our back page was pretty much a how-to on running a Burns supper, something every Scot and every poet needs to know. This week, we follow-up with some more must-know information on our back page, how to cook a Burns supper. It's a nicely done article by food editor Ron Eade. Burns supper's at your place next year. You'd better print these articles now.

But I'm not even touching on the meat of the terrific news items we have this week. Discover them for yourself. Please click in.

Yours,
Rus
