Is there a linking etiquette? If I want to put a link to Wild Poetry Forum (for instance) on my new blog (http://chucklit.blogspot.com), should I ask first? Whom would I ask? Chuck http://www.niederngasse.com http://chucklev.blogspot.com http://hartfordgazette.blogspot.com

Generally, "they" say to ask for permission. But I don't see why anybody has to ask because is a person ever going to tell you "no, don't link me", when you KNOW they want the traffic?

As long as it's a public area being linked.. it's cool. I'm going to go and look at your blog now. ((smile)) Karen |

Dear Chuck -- linking is fine, hon. Feel free to do so without asking for permission first. We are thankful for any free advertising opportunities we can get. As to links posted on Wild, feel free to do that as well. The only exception to that guideline is on links to sites that may contain material in conflict with our PG-13 structure. For links to adult content, please post those links in THERAPEUTIC TOUCH (Erotica Forum). And, of course, administration reserves the right to move/remove any links we find inappropriate, at odds with our moral code, that promote or condone illegal activity, that degrade any minority group, or are downright gross. Yes, we do have our standards! Love, M (Administrator) |

Oh good! I'm glad you have a gross factor. I for one will rest better knowing this standard of policy. *giggle* Seriously, I am grateful for all the standards. (((smile))) Karen |

Dear Karen and Chuck -- As long as we're clear on the gross part! *LOL* I sat here for a long time trying to think of the right word -- only gross came to mind. After further thought, downright disgusting also applies. *grin* Dear Chris -- thanks for the free plug, hon. We really appreciate it and have received quite a few new memberships through Desert Moon. Love, M |

Hi M Glad to provide the link for Wild, M, although I will admit that some at Desert Moon were not in favor of giving links to other sites. However, to mind, it is a good thing to refer our poets and visitors to other worthwhile sites.
